How to Calculate Absence Percentage

To calculate the absence percentage, you need to know the total number of people present and absent. Then, divide the total absences by the total count, and then multiply by 100% to get the absence percentage.

Absence Percentage = (Total Absences / (Total Attendance + Total Absences)) * 100%

This calculator works out the absence percentage from the numbers you enter. You can enter the number present and the number absent directly, or enter the total along with only the number present or only the number absent. It also shows a pie chart of attendance and absence, plus the difference between the two percentages so you can see which one is higher.
